SERVICES:  REHABILITATION


Neuropsychological services are provided within the context of a multi-disciplinary rehabilitation approach, where these might be received at various times during the course of recovery or longer term living with the effects of altered brain function. 


Referral is be made to services from other professional disciplines where necessary, and for a co-ordinated approach to care.


Individual services are provided from a neuropsychological viewpoint where these include:


  1.   Diagnostic assessment

  2.   Monitoring of recovery

  3.   Development of individual rehabilitation plans.

  4.   Management and monitoring of emotional/ behavioural adjustment.

  5.   Psycho-education.

  6.   Cognitive Behavioural Interventions

  7.   Fatigue and anxiety management

  8.   Cognitive remediation and compensatory strategies

  9.   Use of electronic aids for memory and organisation

  10.   Environment and coping strategies.

  11.   Supportive Psychotherapy.

  12.   Family intervention and interpersonal social skills.

  13.   Return to work and study
